Frequently asked questions - Clients

What is the team commitment meant to be?

We typically estimate a 5-7 hour weekly commitment per student, translating to roughly 20-28 hours of work for the startup per week as a team. However, we view this more as a 'project' where the associate consultants collaborate with the team lead to deliver results over the project cycle.

How many times over the project cycle am I meant to meet with my team?

We recommend meeting with your team at least once a week to receive project updates and provide general feedback. We understand that schedules can be busy, so while this is not strictly enforced, it serves as a guideline to ensure both the team and you are satisfied with the progress.

How long is a project cycle?

The project cycle lasts between 6-8 weeks, with a possible extension of up to 2 weeks under special circumstances. If you wish to continue working with Headstart, please let us know, and we will create anew project for you in the next cycle.

Do I need to personally manage my team?

We aim to ensure you have the best experience with your startup and acknowledge the effort required to train a team. Therefore, each team will have a designated Team Lead who will facilitate most of the communication and guide the team. The Team Lead will have previous consulting experience. However, since each startup has different working cultures and approaches, your feedback during weekly meetings will still be invaluable.

What type of project scopes can Headstart teams usually take on?

We currently offer a wide range of projects, including marketing, design, research, funding, and client acquisition. Our project scopes typically involve tasks where associate consultants can research, add input, and provide recommendations or achieve goals. For specific questions, feel free to reach out to our team at management@headstartglobal.com. Currently, we do not accept technical coding projects.
